Miami Clubbing Tips

Restrictions??  What is this garbage??  We know it sucks, and given our choice we wouldn’t restrict at all, but unfortunately due to that fact that we work with nightclubs there are a few compromises we have to make to get the best possible quality of nightclub.  Hopefully you’ll agree they generally make sense.  If you have any additional questions or concerns please contact us and we’ll do everything we can to make it work.

Dress Code Restrictions

miami-pub-crawl-210 During the first half of the Miami Pregame Pub Crawl, when we’re casually and inexpensively pre-drinking at the bars, dress code is not an issue at all. Later in the night, however, we find ourselves at a flashy nightclub, and unfortunately we have to follow their regulations. We know it’s inconvenient, but clubs in Miami Beach are very particular about how clients dress. Nightclub dress codes are always open to interpretation by door hosts, but to be safe you should think of it like this:

For Men, generally, plan on wearing collared shirts and dress shoes. Jeans are ok.

Women should make an effort to look their best, and to wear comfortable heels that they can easily walk in. South Beach nightclubs can be *very* strict about women wearing heels.

We’ve planned our bar crawl with that in mind, so we never keep our ladies walking for more than a few minutes at a time. These are general guidelines. You may see people at the club bending the rules. These are the guidelines you should follow to be safe. If you aren’t in dress code, and a door person doesn’t feel like being flexible at that particular moment, there’s generally not much that can be done to change his mind.

Age Restrictions

miami-pub-crawl-215 Unfortunately Florida State law prevents us from accommodating any crawler less than 21 years of age. South Beach bars and clubs do check their patron’s IDs, so unfortunately the younger folks will have to wait a little while before joining us for a night out. Aside, however, from the repressed youth, people of all ages are welcome to crawl with us. Our clients come from a variety of different age groups and backgrounds, and we show them all the same amazing time. Our average age varies with the season, but our crawlers are generally between 25 and 35 years old.  Nobody is too old or too young to enjoy a night on the town in South Beach, Miami.

Ratio Restrictions (Men to Women per Party)

Another challenging part of working with high end nightclubs in a place like Miami Beach is that they are very particular about letting large numbers of single men into their clubs. The Pregame Pub Crawl works very hard to maintain relationships with our partner clubs, so that we will be able to walk our crawlers into the venues, past long lines, and without paying exorbitant cover charges. One of the things the club demands of us, however, is that we keep a comparable number girls to guys.

miami-pub-crawl-205 Consequently, we have to keep a careful eye on how many women and men there are in any given bar crawl, so that we can make sure our clients get the best service and we can continue to visit the top nightclubs. What that means is that if your party has an even number, or more, of women to men then we can always take you, but we’re sorry to say that can’t always accommodate groups of men.

The purchase page will sell tickets for individual men until we reach an even ratio, and then they’ll become unavailable until we have space again. If you need a few more loose guys tickets than the purchase page has available please contact us. We hate to turn anybody away, and we will try our hardest not to leave anybody behind. You can get in touch with us using our contact form anytime.

Re-Entry

Here’s a big one: for some reason (most) South Beach clubs do NOT like giving people re-admission (aka, ‘in-and-outs’ to some). Honestly, I have no idea why. I don’t get it, but that’s the way it is. They’ll occasionally make exceptions for people if you ask on the way out, but they don’t like it, and most clubs don’t have a stamp or anything so you’ll have to rely on whoever you spoke with to remember you and let you back in. This shouldn’t be a huge deal, as long as you’re prepared for it. Just plan on going into the club and staying there for the evening, and don’t wander out to use the phone or something!

Cameras

Don’t bring a camera that hangs around your neck on a strap. Nightclubs view these as “professional cameras”, and won’t let you in with it. Being that we’re in sunny Miami Beach, our nightclubs don’t have a coatroom or anything either, so that usually creates a disappointing problem for enthusiastic photographers. If your camera fits in a pocket or a bag it’s not a problem.
